Registrar of UENR Formally Sworn into Office

Solomon Panford Esq. the 55 year old Lawyer has been inducted into office as the substantive Registrar for University of Energy and Natural Resources(UENR) for a term of 5years.

He becomes the second substantive Registrar of the University since its establishment in 2011. Mr. Panford who is a Public Relations Specialist and a Barrister at Law, was until his appointment, a Deputy Registrar of KNUST. He holds a Bachelor of Art degree from KNUST and M.Ed (Mass Communication) from the University of Manchester, in the United Kingdom.

Mr. Panford comes to the new position with over 25 years’ experience as a public relations practitioner, higher education administrator and a legal practitioner. He is a member of Ghana Bar Association, Ghana Journalist Association and Institute of Public Relations (IPR) Ghana.

Administering the Oath of Office and Secrecy, Chairman of Council Prof. Ambrose Tuah admonished the new Registrar to work hard to help achieve the mission and vision of the University. He charged the Registrar to be fair and impartial in discharging his duties.

In attendance at the ceremony were the Vice-Chancellor of UENR, Prof. Harrison Dapaah, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Emmanuel Opuni-Frimpong as well as other Council members and Deans from Schools in the University.
